A Better Question

I live in a world where there are others. I live with them and they live with me. We influence each other by direct relationship and also without any direct contact. I noticed that jealousy when I see other people more successful than me.

  • This person is wealthy.

  • This person has more followers on YouTube.

  • This person is more good looking.

The list can keep going.

Every time I encounter someone better than me my heart shuts down and turns away from them. The more I do this I am isolating myself from the world. I am closing doors than opening them. I am burning bridges than making them.

When I see someone that is better than me, instead of comparing “why I don’t have that life and why I can’t do that”

Get inspired by them by asking this question “What can I learn from you?”

  • “What can I learn from you?” Opens the door of possibility.

  • “What can I learn from you?” Makes me curious about their success.

  • “What can I learn from you?” Helps me engage and connect with the person.

  • “What can I learn from you?” makes my heart feel better than pushing them away.
